A True Doors ® tutorial
Summary
To successfully apply a True Doors decal, you will need the following tools:
- Screwdrivers and Allen Keys – To remove the door handle and other protruding parts like peepholes.
- Washing-up Liquid (Dishwashing Liquid) – Used with warm water to clean the door and doorframe to remove grease.
- Cloth or Sponge – For cleaning the door surface and frame.
- Plant Sprayer – Filled with water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid to wet the door before application.
- Wiper – To guide and smooth out the decal as you apply it.
- Rag – To dry the floor during application.
- Squeegee (provided with the decal) – Used to press the decal onto the door and remove air bubbles.
- Stanley Knife – To trim the excess decal after application and make any necessary cuts around fixtures.
- Small Ladder or Stool – If the door is tall, this helps reach the upper part of the door.
- These tools will ensure the decal is applied smoothly and without issues.
We recommend that two people work together when you are applying the first few True Doors.
